Happy C or H we can't even resolve that ?
Hi To One and All,
Welcome to America, or U.S.A. ? The land of gold or golden opportunity ?
When Passover rolls around the 5th question I will ask is, why is it that some spell it as being HANUKA and others as CHANUKAH, that is the question ?
If I were to ask for a Latka receipe, I would get a handful, so I won't ask.
Enjoy the Holiday and each others company, it all comes and goes to fast, and
only memories remain. Happy Chanukah….

Changing start dates for Channukah
A Jewish friend of mine told me that having Channukah begin on Thanksgiving is an abberation and that it will be 72,000 yrs. before it happens again! Does anyone know why there is such a "spread" of start dates? 72,000 yrs. does seem to be a very long time.

To Anon
More than twenty-one centuries ago, the Holy Land was ruled by the Seleucids (Syrian-Greeks), who sought to forcefully Hellenize the people of Israel. Against all odds, a small band of faithful Jews defeated one of the mightiest armies on earth, drove the Greeks from the land, reclaimed the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and rededicated it to the service of G-d.
