The information displayed on this site is useful, knowledgable and informative.

It refreshed my chlidhood memories regarding stories related to Chanukah, especially Channah and her seven sons, burning of the light for eight days -- a miracle of G-d.

Chanukah
I am a mother, Bubbie and Great Bubbie.....sadly so many children do not know why we celebrate Chanukah. I am therefore hoping that on December 11th our Shul, Agudas Achim on Lucas Avenue is filled to capacity with parents and hopefully, children to learn the ins and outs
(reason) of Chanukah. I'll be there, will you?

OVERVIEW
it would be nice to read an overview with the 10-20 largest events that attract the most people or are most known, but except from that this website was great.

One small candle
I watched a replay of the lighting of the National Menorah. The rabbi is correct, one small candle to bring light to the world.
Thank-you Lubavitchers!

This site is very important to me. I now have two Jewish son-in-laws and I can be aware of the very special days in their lives. This means a great deal to me! Thank you for your site. It has helped me in the past and will continue to do so in the future. I am sure that it will continue to bring unification into our lives.

Chanukah
Happy Chanukah to one and all.

Don't be worried about frying your latkes in shmultz (that you rendered) gives them that extra taste. It is no worse for you than any other frying oil including olive oil.

My children, grand children and great grandchildren will be in my home on Sunday 'mert'shem' (G-d willing) for us to celebrate this Miracle of Lights together.

Shalom.

you're fortunate, fran, for having your kids, grand-kids and great grand-kids around for this special holiday.....for us, it was done at thanksgiving dinner, the only time we were able to have them all sit to our table.....we're more lucky than most, i guess.....incidentally, what is this shmultz stuff.....we used to call it schmaltz!!.....never-the-less, an especially happy and a very healthy new year to you all!!!!

Re: Chanukah
What a joyous gathering we had of family, Shul members, friends and people at large on the 4th night of Chanukah. Where you ask! At Agudas Achim in Kingson, New York. Our Rabbi, Rabbi Y. Hecht - his wife, children, sister, brother-in-law (Rabbi Itkin) their children canahora, our Rabbi''s father, Rabbi S. Hecht and everyone who attended had a wonderful carefree evening, not to forget the great food and, made on the spot, Sufganyot.

Thank you for bringing such happiness and joy in these trying, stressful times.

Happy Chanukah to one and all.

The Magic of Chanukah
Thanks to the ALMIGHTY, I performed 2 magic shows for Lubavitch! On Saturday evening, Dec. 4th, Bais Menachem Mendel had me perform a show after their "Father & Son" learning program. Of course, there were adults and other boys and girls too. Every magical effect was tied in with Chanukah. I will ALWAYS remember a little boy by the name of Michael. When he received a dreidle from me during the magic show, his face lit up with pure excitement! Seeing his pure excitement allowed me to feel the essence of G-d and why it is important for me to perform these magic shows.

The other show took place for "Chabad of Kings Highway at the Kings Terrace. Rabbi Drizin, his wife, and especially his 2 sons, expressed to me how much they enjoyed the show the previous evening. This show on Sun., Dec. 5th, allowed me to perform on a wonderful stage. Over 300 people enjoyed the fresh hot latkes with apple sauce along with the other treats. The magic of Chanukah is alive and well over 2,000 years later!

Re: Chanukah
Another year has past and the joy of Chanukah is upon us again. Tonight we light the first Candle.
Thursday our family will hold our Chanukah Party.
Once again, our Shul, Agudas Achim in Kingston, New York is hosting Chanukah festivities.
Getting together with loved ones, friends, congregants our beloved Rabbi Y Hecht and Family and Rabbi A B Itkin and hia family is something one feels in their heart. Cannot explain it, you have to experience it.
David Shmaltz/Shmultz it's the same 'geshmucht'.
Chanukah Sameach to one and all.
