It would be great if you provided the Selihot in English. Thank you.

Please post Selichot in English. Thank you.

I saw the hebrew version has 199 pages. Could we have it in english too? With a guide of how to read them? Many thanks.
|
shalom, can you please send Selichot in french.. toda raba
|
Please, English and transliteration too!
|
Hear, hear! I too would like the selichot in English! Or a referral to a website that has them...regards.
|
English transliteration would be wonderful.

What would be real nice that would be a little calendar that indicate what day of selichot is recited, by the time I figure it out I'm way behind. This would be a neat tool and I'm sure it would help others.
RH - Monday Sep 30 eve Day 1 Day 1 Sep 21 Day 2 Day 2 Sep 22 etc Day 3 Sep 23
the calendar should support different customs as well chabad. ashkenaz, safard as well. Enter what day is RH and custom.

I'd like them translated & transliterated as well. But ringing in at 190 + pages requires time and money to have someone translate it. Booklets of these prayers w/translations are available at Jewish bookstores. For those so inclined, look into purchasing one. I did last year and I'm the proud owner for a tome that will last more than a lifetime!

I agree 100%. So many of our people have not had the advantage of reading Hebrew and speaking it, so that they are not well versed in the language. But that does not detract from our need to say the prayers at the proper time and with the intensity that G-D would have us do them. Please an English translation would be wonderful.

I did a search for "Selichot in English" and it suggested the web site, Judaism.com, where they are selling Complete Selichot According to Chabad Custom (Hebrew & English) Translated by: Rabbi J. Immanuel Schochet, Publisher: Merkos, 2002, JDC# 36799, hardback, for $12.95.

Thank you, Leah Shoshi for the gift of the site HebrewBooks.Org. What a blessing to access such treasures.

Dear Leah Shoshi,
Thank you so much for sharing the site to access English translation.
Shanah Tovah!

Leah Thank you for the link to Hebrew Books. I had no idea it existed. What a treasure trove. It would be great if Chabad published a calendar or reminders of what to say on each day especially for us novices.
|
I went to hebrewbooks.org and cannot find the English translation of Slichot. Can someone help me please.

Ephraim- If you are working from a computer that is set up for native-speaking English users, try these steps: (1) Go to Hebrewbooks.org (2) Type "selichot" (without quote marks) in the space that says "title" (to the right of your screen). Also, be sure you spell "selichot" correctly. (3) Click once on "Selichot According To Chabad Custom". (4) Click on the link that reads "Download 24 MB PDF. This should be to the right of your screen. (5) Another screen should appear that gives you a choice. There should be a blue dot inside a small circle followed by the words, "open with Adobe reader (default)." Click ok at the bottom right of the box. (6) A document should download after sever seconds (more or less). The format reads in Hebrew and English every other page. Scroll down to the page(s) you want to access. If this does not work for you, post another comment here. Good luck, and Shanah tovah.
