The Rebbe Maharash passed away on this day in 5643 (1882). He was interred in Lubavitch. The beginning of Igeret 22 and its close were not published in Igeret Hakodesh.1 (It was printed in the publication Hatamim No. 2.) Compiled and arranged by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory, in 5703 (1943) from the talks and letters of the sixth Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, of righteous memory.
