Compiled and arranged by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory, in 5703 (1943) from the talks and letters of the sixth Chabad Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, of righteous memory.

Reb Hendel was a chassid who exemplified many chassidic traits - humility, warmth of heart, compassion, fervent worship - though he did not excel in the intellectual mastery of chassidic thought. An elder chassid when the late Rebbe, R. Yosef Yitzchak, was a child, he had a profound influence on the Rebbe-to-be, and was often cited in the Rebbe's sichot.
Daily Quote
The Sages taught: Always appoint at least two people together as trustees over public funds. Even Moses, of whom it is written (Numbers 12:7) "In all My house, he is trusted," figured the accounts of the Sanctuary together with others, as it says (Exodus 38:21): "By the hand of Itamar the son of Aaron."
