Australian Community Marks Rabbi’s Quarter-Century of Service

Melbourne’s Caulfield Hebrew Congregation will be paying tribute to Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Mordechai and Yehudis Krasnjanski’s quarter-century of service at a special dinner Thursday evening.

The New York-born rabbi assumed the leadership of Or Chadash, a community prayer group within the synagogue, 25 years ago and quickly turned it into a “home away from home” with Torah classes and holiday gatherings, according to a report in the Australian Jewish News.

The synagogue said in a statement that it wished the Krasnjanskis a “mazal tov and [looked] forward to many more years together.” …
