S. Petersburg Welcomes Second Scroll in a Year

With Chabad-Lubavitch Rabbi Bentsion Lipsker presiding, the Jewish community of S. Petersburg held its second Torah dedication in a year at the Beit Menachem Synagogue at the Maor Jewish Community Center.

More than 100 guests from Moscow attended the festivities, which welcomed a Torah scroll dedicated by the Barel family of Israel in honor of newlyweds David and Chava Barel.

Lipsker told the family: “We are delighted that the children studying at our school will be able to read the Torah scroll that you have given us.” …
