Discuss (0)Akiba Academy, a Jewish community day school in North Texas, will honor Rabbi Mendel and Baila Dubrawsky, co-directors of Chabad-Lubavitch of Dallas, at its Black and White Galas and Auction next month.
“Rabbi Mendel’s and Baila’s commitment to Akiba and their leadership in Jewish educational programs are longstanding,” the school said in a statement. “The Dubrawskys have been supporters of Akiba as parents, grandparents and volunteers.”
The Dubrawskys arrived in Dallas as Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries in 1984. Since then, Chabad Houses have opened across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex; a new center is due to open soon in the suburb of Arlington. …
