Some 10,000 pocket-size prayer books are on their way to Surfside, Fla., for distribution to United States military personnel by Chabad’s Aleph Institute.
The organization, which assists Jewish soldiers and their families, says that this is the smallest pocket-size English-Hebrew annotated prayer book to be delivered to U.S. armed forces. Published by the Kehot Publication Society, the soft-cover prayer books are designed to be user-friendly and easy to transport.
According to officials, 1,500 of the prayer books will be immediately mailed to Jewish soldiers. ...
