The rapidly-expanding club of Moscow synagogues grew by one more member this week with an inauguration and Torah dedication ceremony presided over by Russian Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar.
Lazar, who directs Chabad-Lubavitch activities across the former Soviet Union, danced hand-in-hand at the Sunday event with Meir Moshashvilli, who donated the scroll and the space for the synagogue.
The new shul comes on the heels of several synagogues and Chabad Houses that have opened in the Russian capital over the past year.
