Israeli Bank Managers Tour Historic Moscow Synagogue

Almost half of Bank Hapoalim’s branch managers in Israel travelled together to Moscow, where they were greeted at the Russian capital’s historic Marina Roscha Synagogue with a special presentation.

Rabbi Yakov Fridman, who runs the Chabad-Lubavitch center for Moscow’s Israeli expatriate community, addressed the crowd of 120 bank managers and the group’s leader, Bank Hapoalim labor committee chairman Charlie Amzaleg. The rabbi told them about special programs available for Hebrew speakers in the city. He was accompanied by Israeli Ambassador Dorit Goldener, who gave an overview of the city’s Jewish community and the country’s 20 year diplomatic relationship with Israel.

After the meeting, the managers toured the recently opened Pardes Kosher Deli where they were happy to find – and buy – kosher food.
