A Heavenly Show


Some of the firecrackers made loud swooshing noises as they exploded. Others were virtually silent. The firecrackers that crackled the loudest didn't necessarily produce the brightest results...

when I read your words I was thinking about the eternal light G-d created-while humen's lights are very , very temporary.

Perhaps when we say a prayer here in the physical world, a fireworks of sorts happens above. Thank you for sharing this post.

Where did our fireworks go?
Your first thought helped me internalize a recently discovered notion that if we really understood the impact that our 'small' deeds have in heaven we would be too overwhelmed by the 'fireworks' that we cause, to be able to focus and continue our work down here. Thus we are protected by a thick skin of insensitivity and walk around with blinkers on most of the time.Protected from our own greatness.
